We now have the green light to move forward on our US-Japan Joint Seminar in March on Catchment Hydrology and Forest Biogeochemistry. The purpose of the US-Japan Joint Seminar is to examine similarities and differences in catchment science research and to synthesize work between the two countries. A workshop-style seminar is planned to facilitate structured exchange of ideas, foster discussion, and achieve consensus among bi-national participants. Unfortunately, this workshop is limited to small number of participants, but we are expecting about 40 total participants from the US and Japan. History of the Joint Seminar and additional information can be found on http://us-japanhydro.org.
