Hiring 7 new faculty in water at Virginia Tech!

We are expanding here on the Virginia Tech campus in the area of water through addition of seven new full‐time, nine‐month, tenure-track faculty members!!!  We currently have over 80 faculty in water resources many (not all) of which are listed on our VWRRC website. These positions show the university’s commitment to maintaining excellence in programming and research in water resources.

The complexity of managing water resources is enormous and the necessary knowledge to confront water problems and management presents a significant challenge due to the breath of issues involved.  Few university programs provide integrated training in water science, management, and policy; yet, professionals are required with interdisciplinary expertise in these areas to solve critical problems facing society today and in the future.  We are leading the way in that goal here at Virginia Tech.

See the Water Cluster announcement for these new positions.
